Before deciding whether to order from Eaze, read a bit about the company, the products it offers, and how previous customers view them.
Eaze rolled out its online cannabis shopping and delivery platform in 2014. Since then, the company has serviced over 600,000 registered customers. It works with licensed retailer stores and dispensaries throughout California to bring quality cannabis products to your home.
The drivers who make the deliveries are retail partner employees who rely on Eaze’s technology to receive the order, fill the order, communicate with the customer, and complete a successful delivery.
Types of Products
You can find many different cannabis products while shopping on Eaze’s platform. There are about 20 categories to browse through with hundreds of products to select from.
Eaze offers everything from flower and pre-rolls, to concentrates, vape pens, edibles, and teas. Plus, you can find cannabis-related accessories and a handful of CBD products too.
What Are Customers Saying?
It’s a mixed bag when it comes to customer feedback. For example, in the Apple app store, Eaze has 4.8 out of 5 stars from over 3,700 reviewers. But, when you Google ‘Eaze review’, it only gets 2.1 stars from 250+ reviewers.
So as you can see, many customers absolutely love Eaze, while others do not. Here’s some of the positive feedback we noted: users say Eaze’s online interface is awesome, the cannabis brands are great, and the prices are (mostly) reasonable.
On the flip side, other customers commented about the long delivery times. Although they received a confirmed delivery time, it was pushed back often, and they became frustrated. While leaving an Eaze delivery review, some vowed never to shop with them again.
This could be a location or dispensary specific problem, as the retail partners send their own drivers to make the delivery.
Pros & Cons
- Good customer service
- Mobile-friendly ordering interface
- Good prices
- Only available in California
- Can't see & feel the products like you can in the dispensary
Eaze Review: All About the Brand
Keith McCarty and four employees started Eaze from Keith’s San Francisco apartment in 2014. Today, the company is run by the current CEO, Rogelio Choy.
Eaze is an online platform and marketplace that connects adult consumers to cannabis products. When the company first launched, cannabis was only legal for medical patients. So, Eaze’s cannabis delivery service was limited to patients with a physician-issued medical card.
However, when cannabis became legal for recreational use in California at the start of 2018, this opened up a larger demographic for Eaze. Potential customers no longer need a medical card, only a valid driver’s license.
Eaze is more than the ‘Uber of Weed,’ it’s a company with a mission “to enhance safe access, educate people about cannabis as a tool for wellness, and drive smart cannabis policies.”
Eaze’s Impact on the Cannabis Community
Eaze is at the forefront of pushing social and cultural reform as it relates to cannabis. The company believes that a legal cannabis market can create the economic means to clear criminal records for those caught in possession of (small amounts) cannabis. Also, it can assist veterans in getting access to compassionate care programs; and help small grass-roots cannabis businesses thrive.
One way Eaze contributes to this reform is through its Momentum Program. This business accelerator program selects underrepresented founders in the cannabis space and provides ten-weeks of business training along with a $50,000 grant. In 2019, Eaze received over 130 applications. Of this pool of applicants, the team at Eaze hand-selected 10 winners and generously awarded $500,000 in total grants during the year.
How Does Eaze Work?
Eaze delivers to customers in California (only) who are 21+ years old and have a valid driver’s license.
To sign up for Eaze, visit www.eaze.com, and create an account using the email address of your choice and provide your 5-digit zip code. Your zip code will inform Eaze if you live in an area where deliveries take place.
Once you complete this step, you’ll have to verify your phone number. The number you provide must be linked to a mobile phone that can receive text messages.
Then, depending on the county you live in, you may have to snap a picture of your government-issued ID so Eaze can approve it. Either way, you must present your driver’s license to the delivery driver before he or she can physically hand over your order.
Once you’re signed up and approved, you’re ready to start shopping. You can shop through Eaze’s website or with their mobile app, which is iOS and Android compatible. To view a selection of available cannabis products in your area, plug in your address and the options will automatically pop up.
There’s a minimum order of $25 and a delivery fee of $5, which is waived for first-time customers. Also, when you refer a friend (who’s never ordered from Eaze before), they get $20 off their first order and you receive a $20 credit in return. That’s a pretty sweet deal.
Now, let’s talk about the kind of products you can expect to see on Eaze’s web and mobile platforms.
Cannabis Product Selection
Not only does Eaze offer a fantastic selection of cannabis products, but they’re also well-organized on their site. As mentioned earlier, Eaze is not a cannabis retailer or dispensary. The company is a liaison between ‘of age’ cannabis consumers and licensed cannabis retailers and brands. They’re the technological and logistical brains behind the operation if you will.
All the products are presented under the following categories for ease of browsing.
*These categories may vary depending on where in California you’re ordering from.
|Eaze Categories for Online Ordering|
|Eaze Picks||Gummies & Mints|
|Summer Picks||Chocolate & Baked Goods|
|Vaporizer Cartridges 0.5g||Tea & Mixes|
|Vaporizer Cartridges 1g||Drops, Tablets, & Capsules|
|All-In-One Vaporizer||Bath & Body Care|
|PAX Era Vaporizers||Concentrates|
|G Pen Gio Vaporizers||CBD Products|
In total, there are hundreds of products to choose from. Click on an item to learn more about it before adding it to your cart.
You can read a helpful description of the product, learn whether it’s an Indica, Sativa, or hybrid strain, and see what the product’s effects are. Additionally, the THC percentage is listed, as well as the CBD percentage (when applicable).
Speaking of THC and CBD — most of the products Eaze has available are THC based, but as you can see from the chart above, there’s a selection of CBD products too. These are great options for first-time cannabis users looking for a low dose of THC.

The Final Verdict
Overall, Eaze is a company founded on powerful principles, and it’s helping redefine the cannabis culture, for the better. The company has an outstanding user interface, both on its website and mobile apps, and products are diverse and fairly priced.
There is some inconsistency when it comes to delivery experience and wait time. However, we still think it’s worth giving the service a shot – especially if you want to save yourself the effort and hassle of going out to buy your cannabis goodies.
We hope you enjoyed reading this Eaze review!
