Flowermate V5 Nano Overview
Flowermate is no stranger to high-quality vaping tools, but with its V5 Nano, it’s upped its game. The Nano’s sleek aluminum body, removable battery, and mess-free loading cap make it worthy of attention. Given its cost and performance, you might be hard-pressed to find a better portable rig.
Flowermate as a Manufacturer
Known for making affordable vapes that are well made, simple, and stylish, Flowermate is committed to providing customers with a quality experience. Crafted to extract the best from your herb, Flowermate’s line of 10+ rigs offers something for every need. The V5 Nano, its latest offering, boasts new features, clean lines, and a cool, black aesthetic, making it an affordable unit for on-the-go vaping.
Who is the V5 Nano for?
Flowermate’s V5 Nano is perfect for those looking for an easy-to-use, versatile vaporizer that’s both sleek and portable. With a style that attracts old-school vape enthusiasts and newbies alike, it’s one of Flowermate’s more appealing offerings. While comparable kits might come in a tad cheaper, the additions of the Nano’s removable battery, magnetic loading cap, and on-board storage make it worth the extra expense.
One Device, More Versatility
Not only is the V5 Nano great for ingesting your favorite herb directly from the chamber or herb pod, but it also comes with a wax pod for concentrates. It should be noted, though, that the pods require extra time and a higher heat to achieve the similar hauls. Without the pods, the chamber can hold between 0.3-0.5g, which is enough to accommodate multiple users in a single session.
Flowermate V5 Nano’s Overall Value
Make no mistake, the Flowermate V5 Nano offers a lot of bang for slightly more buck than comparable kits sold by Flowermate’s competitors. The removable battery alone, however, makes the Nano a great choice for anyone on the hunt for a portable vape. Add in the Nano’s other features, and it’s hard to be critical of this latest offering.
Flowermate V5 Nano Pros & Cons
- Easy to use & clean
- Digital OLED display
- 1 year warranty
- Vapor drawn at over 400°F can be harsh
- Slightly more expensive than similar vape options
Using the V5 Nano
The Nano is a fantastic addition to Flowermate’s line of affordable vape rigs that is easy to use and has exceptional build quality. The device heats quickly with precise temperature control and thoughtful accessories.
Temperature Control to the Degree
The simple control scheme echoes that of Flowermate’s other vape offerings. Simply press the power button five times to turn it on, then press and hold for two seconds to kick-start the heater. Temperature control is precise with up and down buttons that change the setting by one degree, and it can switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit. When the Nano’s black ceramic oven reaches temperature (usually in about 40 seconds), the device vibrates to let you know.
V5 Nano Vaping & Airflow
Despite its rather small size, the Flowermate Nano produces dense clouds with minimal effort. While the Nano is big on flavor and density, the highest temperatures lead to harsh vapor. We found temperatures from 380-400°F make for a more enjoyable haul.
As for airflow, the Nano performs well and is only slightly restrictive when packed tight. Lightening the oven’s load just a little can help reduce resistance and increase airflow, making for a repeatedly satisfying and impressive draw.
Easy Cleaning After Sessions
Flowermate’s V5 Nano is remarkably easy to clean. Simply brush out the oven after a session while it’s still warm (but not hot) and use the brush to remove any leftover plant matter on the mouthpiece’s screen. The beauty of the magnetic loading cap is that it avoids gunking up the threading where you screw in the mouthpiece. But, for an even deeper clean, soak a cotton swab in isopropyl alcohol and wipe along the inside of the borosilicate glass mouthpiece. Then, use the provided dab tool to pop out the screen and clean that similarly.
It’s also important to sterilize your new Nano before your first use. To do so, you just have to turn it on, jack up the heat, and let it do its thing. The Nano automatically shuts off after five minutes, so repeat this four times to give it a total of 20 minutes.
The Nano’s Unique Features
While the Flowermate V5 Nano has a bevy of new features, there are three we find especially enticing. First and foremost is the removable, rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion battery that offers 40-50 minutes of straight burn time. Not only does the micro USB charge quickly, but being able to switch out the power source means the Nano doesn’t die with the battery. Having a backup or two means you’ll never be without power.
The second feature we love is the on-board storage for the borosilicate mouthpiece. A hidden compartment next to the battery allows the mouthpiece to be unscrewed and tucked away, making it easier to take on the go and prevent damage to the glass piece.
Lastly, the magnetic loading cap is truly a beautiful thing. Held in place magnetically, the cap allows for easy, mess- and waste-free loading of the ceramic oven. When you’re done, simply pop it out, screw the mouthpiece back in, bring the Nano up to temperature, and start vaping.
Warranty & Accessories of the V5 Nano
Flowermate offers a 90-day protection for the battery and a one-year manufacturer’s warranty that covers any defects.
As for accessories, the anodized aluminum Nano comes with:
- USB charger
- Dab-packing tool
- Glass mouthpiece
- Pods for herb, wax & oil
- Cleaning brush
- Magnetic loading cap
- 5 extra screens
- Velvet pouch (for storing and transporting everything)

Flowermate V5 Nano: The Final Draw
The addition of the Nano to Flowermate’s V5 line brings more value and advancement to an already stacked lineup of vape rigs. The extra cost to make it your own seems inconsequential considering all the fantastic features the Nano brings to the table.
If you’re still not sure the Flowermate V5 Nano is the right choice for you, there are other vaporizers worth considering and comparing with, like the Apollo Air Vape X.
